Ryan & Ellen's Halloween Adventure
7:50pm: Ryan and Ellen leave her apartment in Los Feliz for West Hollywood's Halloween Carnival.
7:51pm: Ryan eats the shu mai Ellen made for him. It's delicious.
7:55pm: Traffic already on Hollywood Blvd.
8:30pm: Still traffic.
8:45pm: First drag queen spotting (a group of them are hanging out in the flat of a pick-up truck). Still traffic.
8:50pm: A "pirate" in another car brandishes his plastic sword at Ryan and Ellen.
9:00pm: Kid tries to convince them to park in a lot for $20. Ellen says $10! The father shouts, "Don't be so cheap!"
9:30pm: Ryan and Ellen pick two gay boys off the sidewalk and offer to drive them to their car to get their parking spot.
9:31pm: Ryan and Ellen realize the two boys SMELL.
9:32pm: Ryan asks the cuter boy why they are leaving so early. He says a man grabbed him and so he ran away, but it was difficult as it was his first time in heels.
9:39pm: Ellen is forced to choose between rolling her window up because she's cold or keeping it open to dilute the smell. Her nose makes the sacrifice.
9:45pm: Ryan and Ellen realize the boys live in an apartment on Doheny and don't actually have a parking spot to give. But the boys tip them off that they can park at the Ralphs across the street.
10:00pm: Two hours after leaving Los Feliz, Ryan and Ellen finally arrive at the carnival.
10:10pm: They head to the KIIS FM stage, where Kevin Federline is rapping. He looks ridiculous with a black cape over street clothes. At the end of his performance, the entire audience boos.
10:15pm: Ellen finds her long-lost twin.
10:20pm: Ryan and Ellen arrive at the KBIG stage to watch Tiffany. Tiffany sings well and looks like a drag queen. Ellen runs into a guy she speed-dated.
10:30pm: Ellen makes a friend who's very happy to see her.
10:35pm: This guy really gets into character.
10:40pm: Most original costume Ryan and Ellen see that night.
10:45pm: It's a hot dog!
10:50pm: Ryan and Ellen go home.
10:51pm: Ryan waits anxiously for Halloween to come around again!
