My Winter Vacation

Went back to work this past Thursday after a 2.5 week hiatus. A quick rundown of life since Dec. 15th:

:: Went to Seattle, met Mr. Brett Carnahan, met his hysterical friend Sarah, went to the first Starbucks, went to the Space Needle, went to Pike Place, went on an underground tour, went on a nice Christmas cruise, watched the Survivor finale, nearly froze to death.

:: Christmas shopped, went to a variety of Targets about 20 times in all.

:: Baby-sat my nephew, took him to see "Eragon." The acting was horrible, the lead actor wasn't even cute... although I applaud his abs.


:: Christmas party at my house. We played Cranium Pop Culture. White Elephant gift exchange... I got a $50 Target gift crad. Woo-hoo! Already half spent.

:: Christmas Eve at my sister's. She made creme bruele. Yum. Christmas Day at my cousin's. Got the new Ciara CD. "That's right."

:: Saw "Dreamgirls" with Ellen, Haeran and Billie. Haeran complained about the flooding in the women's restroom, while Billie waited 45 minutes for popcorn. Hate Norwalk AMC. Liked the movie, especially Jennifer Hudson's singing.


:: Went to dinner with my cousins and sister at Versailles. Dessert at Pinkberry! The mochi topping is surprisingly good.

:: Picked up Brett at the airport on Friday, the 29th. He and Haeran stayed over; we woke up at 4am to drive to Vegas after collecting Ellen and Billie. Met up with Paigie and Eric. Gambled (love Price is Right 5 cent slots!), buffeted (love Rio World Carnival), and outlet shopped (love... well, i didn't buy anything). Caught glimpse of Britney Spears, saw Chynna, saw Shannon Elizabeth. Rang in 2007 on the Strip, watched fireworks.

:: Gave Brett a tour of L.A. Went to Sprinkles in Beverly Hills (the strawberry flavor is the BEST), Hollywood & Highland and Universal City Walk. Saw the Tonight Show, sat in the first row, drooled over George Clooney. Took Brett to the airport.

:: Read more of "The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay." Got mildly sick.
