Summer Daze and Buffy Summers
Summer has been pretty busy and a bit of a rollercoaster. Which is good... 'cause I feel like I'm living. But it's also bad, because, well, sometimes living hurts. In my dark hours, I turn to one place for comfort, inspiration and wisdom: Buffy, the Vampire Slayer.

:: One of my favorite quotes of all time is from the episode, "Passion"...
"It hurts sometimes more than we can bear. If we could live without passion, maybe we'd know some kind of peace. But we would be hollow. Empty rooms, shuttered and dank. Without passion, we'd be truly dead."
:: Also from that same episode...
"Passion is the source of our finest moments: The joy of love, the clarity of hate and the ecstacy of grief."
:: I also enjoy Buffy's other themes about change being thrust upon us, but how it's our reactions that define us... about destiny... about loneliness... about cookie dough. To lift the cookie dough metaphor, I believe I'm no longer cookie dough. I have formed into warm, delicious cookies. And I'm ready for someone to eat me.
