Random Notes

"I like you -- you have the boldness of a much younger woman." Alec Baldwin to Tina Fey on "30 Rock." If you didn't watch "30 Rock," you should check it out. It's one of my favorite new shows.

I was watching "She's the Man" on DVD with my sister, nephew and niece. (I already saw it once in theaters.) It really is an awful movie, but there are parts that really make me laugh.

Saw "The Departed." I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. I'm not big into mob/police stories. The whole cast is excellent (Jack, Leo, Matt, Martin Sheen, Marky Mark, the Sarah Jessica Parker lookalike.)

Not So Amazing Race

Haeran, Billie, Gee and I ran the Nike Run Hit Remix on Sunday, September 24. It was actually not that bad, but maybe that's because I run at the speed of an 80 year old woman. Here are my sad little stats:

Time: 52:30 min.
Place: 3340 out of 7335 runners

The best part of the day was getting to see Jason Priestley, my childhood crush, who's a little paunchy now. And yet at age 37, Jason still smoked me. His stats:

Good Times

in a bid to enjoy the present and not dwell on the past or future, here are a few things i'm enjoying right now (give or take a week)... because even if it all goes away tomorrow, at least i can say i appreciated it at the time...

:: the season. i love fall. the weather is just about perfect right now. even better, there's a chance for rain all this week. yay!

:: just sitting here at the computer, relaxing before bed. i'm the only one awake right now in the house. i'll miss living here.

:: drove down to billie's house to drop off her ipod. i like having a friend in the neighborhood.

:: i'm loving a lot of music right now. a whole bunch of artists just put out cds that i really enjoy and contain several great songs. sample: christina aguilera ("still dirrty," "slow down baby"), justin timberlake ("my love," "lovestoned"), beyonce ("irreplaceable," "ring the alarm"), fergie ("fergalicious," "glamorous") and the killers ("sam's town," "read my mind").

:: youtube. it lets me enjoy rare videos like "lovelight" by robbie williams and "milk & toast & honey" by roxette and anything by westlife. and i also get to check out the new tickle me elmo in action.

:: tv shows... lots of good new shows... "brothers & sisters," "heroes," "ugly betty," and "30 rock." and lots of good old ones... "desperate housewives," "survivor," "the amazing race," "dancing with the stars" and "lost."

:: new people. i'm enjoying chatting with this new guy, even though it's clearly not going anywhere. but i'm having fun with it for however long it goes.

:: work. i'm actually enjoying work... we did a "soft" launch of a new site today... www.PassionsTabloidTruth.com The dotcom did a great design job...

:: cupcakes. i'm loving "sprinkles" and "my little cupcake." and i'm sure it shows.

:: general hanging out with friends... a night at magic mountain, dinner at tommy's, shopping in south pasadena, dinner at grand lux, stop at west hollywood and dinner at zankou.

of course tomorrow, i'm sure i'll be hit by a bus. just try to remember to play "...and then i kissed him" by hans zimmer at my funeral. or at least, "he's a pirate" by tiesto ;)
