Hello Prius, Bye Bye Corolla...
I finally bought a new car (my first actual new car)! My brother was able to get a discount through a Toyota program and my car was falling apart, so the timing was perfect. After visiting 3 car dealerships, I bought a "Magnetic Gray" Prius. I like the car so far, but it takes some getting used to. I'm not a fan of hatchback windows, both because it's a little hard to see out the back and I don't have a covered trunk anymore (where will I hide the bodies?). And the whole computer/electronic component worries me a little (I just don't trust technology). But it's roomy and has a new car smell. What more can I ask for?
BTW, I traded in my poor Corolla for just $100. I would have sold it or given it away, but the brakes/brake pads needed to be replaced and that's like $300. In addition, my car had a dent from that hit and run (remember, Christine, Billie and Haeran?), it had a crack in the windshield, it had 236,400 miles on it, it had two tires with slow leaks in them and it was missing 3 out of 4 hubcabs. And over the weekend, some valet guy broke the inside drivers' side door handle, which was already broken, but he broke it off completely. I'm lucky I got $100.
I'll miss my Corolla though! So many good memories after 9 years. A lot of life-changing moments in that thing. And no, not all of them were dirty.
