In my inbox...

i collected my spam mail for a day or two and this is what i got:

::Jess Malone wants to offer me fast, professional service. I'm not sure what the service is, but if it's what I'm thinking, "fast" isn't a good thing.

::Amazing Computer wants to send me a free Hewlett Packard Laptop! I can't wait to receive it! I'm so lucky!

::I was informed that "you don't need to be fat!" Well, I don't NEED to be fat, but I believe that's a personal life-style choice I'd like to pursue.

::Norris sent me something for my eyes only. I wonder if it's top secret government information...

::Prince Woma says, "Please, I need your help." I'm flattered. I wonder if I can get a gold crown out of this...

::Out of Liabilities is offering "hard girls for your fullfillness." First of all, fullfillness is NOT a word. And why would I want them hard? Gross!

two turntables and a microphone

Pour your misery down on me.

Despite all my rage, I am still just a rat in a cage.

The world was on fire and no one could save me but you.

The night is my companion and solitude my guide.

Well, it's too late, tonight, to drag the past out into the light.

The dawn is breaking, a light shining through. You're barely waking and I'm tangled up in you.

The winter here's cold, and bitter. It's chilled us to the bone.

Pride can stand a thousand trials, the strong will never fall. But watching stars without you, my soul cried.

Does she know how you told me you'd hold me until you died, til you died... but you're still alive.

All the women who independent, throw your hands up at me. All the honeys who makin money, throw your hands up at me.

I don't think you're ready for this jelly.

3 Q's

Quote: "Fine! I'll just sit and play with my ball!" -- my nephew Taylor, sitting down in a huff to play with a ball on a string when told he couldn't go outside.

Question: Can I accept a free piano from someone who I don't particularly like and still have integrity? Is it really such a bad thing to lie to guys about having a boyfriend to avoid having to say I don't want to date them? Should I feel bad about the water I wasted last night when I washed my hair just so that I could restyle it after a failed attempt? I think my Axe deodorant spray is in an aersol can... does that deplete the ozone layer? Is there still a big hole in it? And is the greater sin destroying the environment... or smelling bad? My vote is for the latter.

Q-tip: Don't run with scissors.

can you spell B-L-O-G?

Billie, Haeran and I watched "Rent" on DVD after working on a special, top-secret project.

Listening to the album "Back to Bedlam" by James Blunt. It's better than I thought it would be... but so mellow. I wish iTunes would hurry up and offer Rihanna's "SOS." Now that's a fun song. "Better than I thought it would be" also applies to two movies I saw: "Failure to Launch" and "V for Vendetta."

untitled

Organized my room a little. I have too many pictures, not enough frames. Too many frames, not enough wall space. Too many shirts, not enough hangers. Too many magazines, not enough shelf space.

Gave up on snowboarding and tried skiing. It was a lot more fun. I feel so much more secure with two ski poles in hand... maybe if I could use them for snowboarding, I'd be better at it.

moments in time

just stuff that i've done the past few days

:: played "imagine if" with haeran, billie and teddy. it's fun... you learn what people think of each other, of other people and of yourself. for example, most people agreed if i were a decade, i would be the politically correct 90s. if haeran was falsely accused of stealing from work, most of us thought she would cry. besides ourselves, we also threw in ellen, jack, kiera knightly and bart simpson.

:: went to a warehouse sale... the tv production company carsey-werner is going out of business, so they were selling furniture and other stuff from their shows (like That 70s Show, 3rd Rock from the Sun, Cosby, etc.) my sister and her fiance found end tables, lamps and a cute blackboard/key holder for a pretty good price. i only found plastic portfolio folders... but i did get them for free. haha...

:: saw brokeback mountain again with billie and her mother. i was worried i wouldn't like it the second time around, but i was really able to appreciate how good that movie is on the second viewing. the acting, the storytelling, the directing... it was depressing again, though. billie's mom seemed to really like it and cried. billie says her mom hasn't stopped talking about it... haha... i love that she loved the movie.

:: went to my sister's housewarming party with billie and christine. someone brought a cute little dog that was very entertaining. and i had a really yummy cupcake.

:: went to this gay asian club with hadley. for garden grove, this place was actually a lot of fun. great music, great crowd, great space. i'd go again.

:: watched the oscars. really disappointed brokeback lost best picture, especially to something so average as crash. at least my beloved moulin rouge lost to a pretty good movie (a beautiful mind). oh, well, at least ang lee won. and i'm glad reese won. it was actually a pretty good show except for dumb montages that were badly put together and had no purpose. jon stewart was a very funny host and did a good job at poking fun at the entire event.
