San Francisco Treat

Ellen and I decided to take a last minute road trip up to San Francisco... Some highlights...

:: We arrived late on Friday night. Had an afterhours snack at that Chinese place and then went back to Eric's and watched some Asian documentary about the Korean nightlife in New York. The film was all over the place, but one girl named Helen was kinda interesting in a Jerry Springer sort of way. She was in love with her cousin but broke things off over the "family thing." She also dated some 20 year old when she was 12. Whore!

:: Ellen left Lychee to live with Eric. Sadness. Although she almost didn't even think to say good-bye! I sincerely hope Eric decides to carry Lychee around in the pink carrier.

:: Paigie brought back some great sandwiches and cupcakes for lunch. Then we went to the mall in Walnut Creek and met up with Christine. I heart H&M.

:: Paigie and Eric went to a Warriors game while Ellen, Christine and I met up with Mitoshi and her boyfriend and sister. Ate at a place in Berkeley... it was freakin' cold!

:: Went to club called Rosewood for Paigie's coworkers' birthdays. Lots of drunk people. Some white guy started talking to Ellen... when she said she was leaving to eat with Paigie and me, he asked to tag along. So we had Happy Hour food (all $2.49!) with some guy named Ton or Tom.

:: On our way back to LA, Ellen and I visited Christine's new place in Dublin. I like Dublin. I would totally live there if it were closer to the city. One other drawback -- the city is covered with the trees that smell like "rotten cum" as Christine put it. CHS used to have those, too. Ellen grabbed a bunch of petals and threw it down in disgust. Anyway, Christine's place is cute and new.

:: Plans for Cerritos, Part II are underway. I'm starting to think about Emeryville and Ellen is sort of considering a move up north, also.

Random Notes

:: Last Saturday I hosted a game night at my house. It was the most fun I've had in a long time. People get really excited when playing Catchphrase -- cucumber became the word of the night. Then we played my little Amazing Race game, which I think went well. I got to know some people better, had some good laughs... All in all, I think everyone had fun.

:: Went on a date Sunday. Dating sucks. It's awful when one person isn't into the other person -- it sucks for both of them. This time I was the one who wasn't interested and it's horrible letting someone down. He wanted to know why and I just wanted to cry. He changed his MySpace mood to "rejected" because of it =(

:: Work has been rough, especially Monday... I've spent the week living alone because my parents went to Hawaii. Truth be told, it's been a little lonely. I had the same meal every night (leftover sandwiches from game night... see, I DO eat leftovers!) and then watched TV or chatted online.

:: On Tuesday, I heard the new Madonna song. It's cool, but I think I only love it in one spot... when she says the full title of the song, "4 Minutes to Save the World." Can't wait to see the video with J. Timberlake and Timbaland.

:: My Wednesday night was interesting... =)

:: Today, I had lunch with Fran. It was good to get out of the office for once. We went to a great little philly cheesesteak/sandwich place... I can't believe Danny was eliminated from American Idol! He's not the greatest singer, but he made the show interesting. Most flaming guy ever, but his "mmhmm" to Ryan Seacrest was very funny. At least my beloved David Archuleta is still in.

But Chris is right... his hair doesn't look so good. It looked good before the finals... and now it's all dorky looking. Speaking of, I've been combing my hair to the side... which I hope looks dorky cute... and not just dorky.
